The history of the lighthouse reflects the unending vagaries of the North Sea, the many shipwrecks and harsh weather conditions and how today tourists flock to the beaches.
Fun for children
Lyngvig Lighthouse is a fantastic place for children. They can try the treasure trove, let off steam on the nature playground, count the steps as they climb to the top, collect pebbles on the beach – or what about a good old-fashioned ice cream cornet? There is peace and quiet and plenty of space here for families to enjoy.
Shop & Café
The lighthouse keeper’s old home is now a cosy café and a museum shop brimming with retro souvenirs. Take a seat in the café and enjoy a light lunch, a cold beer, ice cream, or cake and coffee. In July and August, you can also buy ice cream cornets, hot dogs and sausages at the little red hut.
